If you do not already receive notifications from the Noank Fire District via email but would like to, please send an email to noankfiredistrict@gmail.com requesting to be added to the list. Notices are sent out for committee meetings, road closures, paving, water issues, zoning, trash pickup problems, etc. This is not a new list. If you are already receiving these notifications, you do NOT need to request to be added again. There are currently over 400 email addresses on the list.

The NFD is requesting our customers go to https://www.recyclect.com to make sure they are recycling properly. The facility our hauler uses for our recycling has been becoming stricter.
The water pipe upgrade project on Potter Court has been completed. The road has been patched and it is planned the street will be repaved in the spring. Our thanks to all residents for their patience during the project.

A public meeting for the Main Street Repaving Project is scheduled for February 26, 2025. It will be held in the basement of the Noank Fire House at 6:30 PM. The Town has provided the NFD with the plans for the project. They can be reviewed at the Noank Fire House during the Clerk's office hours (Mondays 9-12 and Wednesdays 12-3). They may also be reviewed at Carson's/Palmer's Provision starting Saturday, February 15, during their normal business hours. The Noank Water Company has completed its checking of residences for lead pipes. With 95.7 % of the residences checked there were no lead pipes found. Thank you to all residents who helped by submitting photos of the water connection.
